Serge Adam fait partie des rares trompettistes de jazz ayant fait allégeance à la fée technologie. Co-fondateur de nombreux projets "transversaux" (Polysons, Les Amants de Juliette...), il est aussi la tête de pont du collectif HAUTE FRÉQUENCE, espace de rencontres entre improvisateurs solistes (ici Marc Chalosse et Gilles Coronado) et le vidéaste électroacousticien Eric Verhnes. Son nouvel album, 4.1 (Quoi de Neuf Docteur / Night&Day), enregistré lors d'une performance live, nous entraîne dans un parcours rythmique et atmosphérique haletant, sur les traces de pionniers du jazz "illbient" tels que Graham Haynes et Ben Neill.
