Climates and colors also exist in the last two CDs of this majestic Big Band. « The Scape-goat’s Wife » dates from May 1995, recorded live in public at the Dunois Theatre in Paris and the construction of the ensemble, although being progressive, doesn’t reject swing. In this group we find some of the current factors, the leaders of ideas being Hubert Dupont, Philippe Sellam, Daniel Casimir (whose first CD in his name is with.....Charlotte), François Thuillier and François Merville. Serge Adam has retracted here in order to concentrate on directing and gives the floor to different individual of the group (19 in all). The working through is of a classical big band with bridges followed by solos and a recapitulation by the group, and I suspect that the audience that evening was delighted.
